I am coming to you from cloudy Finland to bring you some updates about what you can expect in the future from me as far as my writing. You might have noticed that Ghosts in the Willow Shade is no longer available for purchase, and I wanted to clarify what that was all about in case anyone was confused.When I created Ghosts alongside Grey Nettle, I had no idea how big of a project it would become. We both put so much heart and effort into it. The end result was something we are both really proud of.What I didn't anticipate was that the sheer size of the book, and the fact that we included full color art, would make production costs of the book absurdly high.The original run of the books that I hand signed I sold at a loss, so I decided to make a lesser quality version of it in order to cut costs for you, the reader.The book still ended up being 30 USD. Even the paperback. I could not seem to get it lower and it really pained me to charge so much for something I wanted to be accessible to everyone.Since I know most people are here for my poetry, I have decided to rework Ghosts into a poetry only version under a new book title. The book will include a new theme, new black and white art, and a new cover.It will no longer be an October only book or a Halloween book. It is about becoming something new through pain.The cover art is being hand painted and the art inside hand-sketched. The book will now be much more like a kin to Bones & the Undergrowth.In the future I will also look to releasing the short stories in Ghosts as a separate book.My reason for doing this is that I want the book to be as affordable as Bones. It's important to me that my art is accessible to everyone. It bothered me how much Ghosts was priced at.If you have a copy of Ghosts, there is really no need to obtain the new versions of it. You also have something extremely special and exclusive. A limited edition if you will.If I find a way to make Ghosts more affordable, in a version in which I am proud of, I will re-release it.Keep an eye on my socials for an announcement of the re-release.
